The Field Day 2018 line-up just got even bigger

It will be the event's first year in its new south London home.

New acts have been just been announced for the already stellar Field Day 2018 line-up.

Organisers just revealed IAMDDB, Young Marco, Objekt b2b Batu and Moses Sumney as new additions to the event, which will be taking place over Friday 1 June – Saturday 2 June.

Earlier this year, NME featured hip-hop artist IAMDDB as one of its 100 best new music acts of 2018.

Last month, Erykah Badu was announced as the first headliner for the festival, leading a huge line-up that includes the likes of Four TetAJ Tracey, Loyle Carner and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Neo-soul icon Badu will headline the first day of the festival on Friday June 1, while the Barn Stage will play host to the likes of Nils Frahm and Four Tet.

This will be the London festival’s first year in its new home south of the river, in Brockwell Park, Lambeth, having spent the last 11 years in east London’s Victoria Park, since its inception.

There was speculation late last year that the festival was moving south, but it was only confirmed by organisers in February this year.

Partnering with Lambeth Council, Field Day say that they are “carrying the torch to Brockwell Park, in a region of London that is renowned for its rich cultural and musical history: from raising legends including David Bowie to contemporaries making waves today such as Loyle Carner and the likes of Reprezent giving a voice to a young south London.”

Last year’s event saw the festival concentrated into a single day, with Aphex Twin and Run The Jewels offering killer headline performances.
