Two Door Cinema Club, who released their second album ‘Beacon’ this week, will play just before the Manchester legends on the Main Stage. Azealia Banks, Justice, De La Soul, Jessie Ware and Disclosure will also perform at Robin Hill Park today.
Festival goers are in line for a weekend of fine weather, which will make up for the last two years of wet weather, with temperatures set to reach highs of 22C on Saturday. Sunday will be as hot, but punters will be cool while they watch headliner Stevie Wonder in the evening as there is a chance of cloud, according to BBC Weather.
Other artists set to play today’s event include Nero, Major Lazer, Four Tet & Caribou, Sister Sledge, Earth Wind & Fire, Kavinsky, Field Music, Errors, King Krule, Ren Harvieu, John Talabot, AlunaGeorge, DJ Yoda, Gesaffelstein, Beardyman, The Cuban Brothers and Bassnectar.
Florence And The Machine headlined the first day of the festival yesterday (September 7) where The XX unveiled their second album ‘Coexist’ during their first UK festival slot this year.
