New Young Pony Club pen new song for art exhibition

Tate Modern gets them 'Really Literal'

New Young Pony Club have penned a new song for Tate Modern’s Tate Tracks series.

Their track, ’Really Literal’, is the last in the series which has included Graham Coxon, Klaxons and The Long Blondes.

The song was inspired by Martin Creed’s piece, ’Neon Sign’.

The song will be available to listen to on and at a listening post in front of the artwork from September 13 until the end of December.

Will Gompertz, Head of Tate Media, said: “New Young Pony Club’s response to Martin Creed’s Neon Sign at Tate Modern reflects the immediate impact of this work.”

The gallery has also launched a competition asking for members of the public to create their own tracks.

The 20 winners will get to meet acts who’ve taken part in the project, including Graham Coxon and Basement Jaxx.
