Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have reportedly started work on his next album.
The Bad Seeds singer is reportedly in Los Angeles to work on the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Skeleton Tree’, after a summer of relentless touring.
Confirming the development in her blog, Cave’s wife Suzie Bick explained how she’s battling an autumn flu – and his new songs are responsible for forming vivid dreams in her mind.
“He is not here. He is in LA making a new record”, Bick wrote on her website, The Vampires’ Wife. Some of his songs reveal themselves at night in his fever dreams. They are his Fever Songs. What lovely jobs we have.”
It’s yet to be revealed when a new record will be released, or how far the band have currently progressed with it.
Earlier this summer, Cave played an epic London show at the inaugural All Points East in Victoria Park.
Earlier this year, Bad Seeds drummer Jim Sclavunos spoke to NME about his work with the band, and described the band’s preparation for their current tour.
“For this tour, we’ve been rehearsing loads of ‘new old songs’. It remains to be seen, but we always try to have a few surprises”, he said.
“There’s at least one song there that we’ve never done live. There’s always a spontaneity to us. I’ve been playing in the band since 1994 and we’ve played a lot.
