Nicki Minaj‘s video for her new track ‘Stupid Hoe’ has been banned by US television network BET, according to reports.
TMZ claims that the station are refusing to broadcast the clip but failed to give a specific reason for their decision. However, they claimed that sources at the network said the song’s lyrics and sexual images were too raunchy to be shown on air – scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to watch the video.
The track is the second taster from the rapper’s forthcoming new album ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’, which is set for release on April 3.
Minaj had previously hinted that she would be recording material as her gay male alter-ego Roman for the record. The hip-hop star originally introduced the persona on her song ‘Roman’s Revenge’, the opening track from her 2010 debut ‘Pink Friday’.
Minaj recently confessed that it had felt “so good” to lock lips with the pop icon for the track’s video.
She also recently overtook Eminem to become the most followed hip-hop artist on Twitter.
