Nicki Minaj delays release of new album until December

'The Pinkprint' will now be released on December 15

Nicki Minaj has pushed back the release date of her new studio album ‘The Pinkprint’ until December 15.

The US rapper’s third album was originally intended for release on November 24 but it has now been postponed. In the meantime, Nicki Minaj unveiled her new single ‘Only’ today. The track features Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown.

An official tracklisting for the album is yet to be revealed, but songs likely to be in contention for the release include Minaj’s string of 2014 singles: ‘Yasss Bish!!’, ‘Pills N Potions’ and ‘Anaconda’. Confirmed producers on the album are Dr Luke, Polow da Don, Da Internz, Cirkut and Detail.

The album title, ‘The Pinkprint’, is a direct reference to Jay Z’s ‘The Blueprint’ and will be Minaj’s third. Her debut, ‘Pink Friday’, was released in 2010, and its follow up, ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloded’, came out in 2012.

Minaj is also due to host the MTV Europe Music Awards in Glasgow next month.
