Nicki Minaj sued by wig maker

Terrence Davidson sues the 'Starships' singer for $30 million

Nicki Minaj is being sued by a wig maker for allegedly taking credit for his designs.

Terrance Davidson is suing the ‘Starships’ singer for $30 million, claiming that she not only stole his designs and marketed them herself but done him out of a lucrative reality TV show deal as she felt it would tarnish their relationship.

According to TMZ, the lawsuit includes a “panoply of fresh, hip and unique wigs” which the singer wore in some of her music videos, including the pink upper bun wig, the fox fur wig, the pink high top wig, the ‘Superbass’ wig and the half blond-half pink wig.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj has apologised for using a photo of Malcolm X to promote her new song ‘Lookin Ass Nigga’, reports Spin.

The photo showed the human rights activist looking out of a window, holding a gun, whilst the accompanying video for the track finds Minaj shooting at men. Its use prompted two petitions to be started online, calling for the star to stop using the image.

Last year, Minaj told New York radio station Power 105 that her next album would be released in 2014. “I’ve already started… 2014 definitely!,” she told the channel. “It’s very different from anything I’ve done, which I’m surprised about. I’m not feeling like I did this. I feel like this is next level.”
