The long-awaited collection looks set to be released this year...

NIRVANA‘s long-awaited ‘Greatest Hits’ Collection will be called ‘NIRVANA’, according to COURTNEY LOVE.

The former Hole frontwoman and widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain revealed the news on a posting on the official Hole website this morning (August 30).

“There’s a few details left but they are fine – everyone’s fine no-one’s being nasty anymore and it NOT “greatest Hots [sic]” its called “Nirvana” and it’ll be out by Christmas,” she said.

Love‘s admission that relations between herself and former Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic have improved marks a dramatic change. She had been due to go to court with the pair in September in a fight over rights to the Nirvana legacy left by her late husband Kurt Cobain. Her own remarks echo those of bassist Noveselic, who last week said there was “good will” between the three.

At Reading last weekend, Dave Grohl was less forthcoming about the current situation between the three and the Nirvana hits volume. “We’re stuck in the middle of a lawsuit right now, so I can’t talk about it,” he said.
