'Kurt Cobain: The Journals' will be complete and unedited...

The late NIRVANA singer KURT COBAIN’s diaries will be published in November.

As previously reported on NME.COM, Cobain kept extensive diaries during his youth and time in Nirvana, totalling 23 books and 800 pages. Riverhead Books, a division of Penguin Putnam, are to publish the replica of the diaries.

‘Kurt Cobain: The Journals’ will go on sale on November 11. Speaking in the US, editorial director Julie Grau told Billboard: “It’s a replica of his notebook pages. We have excised any thought of editorial intrusion. This is pure, unadulterated, Kurt Cobain.”

Some fans will have already read some of the diaries. Last year, Courtney Love gave author Charles R Cross access to them as part of his research for a biography of the late Nirvana star, titled ‘Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain’.
