The release date of ‘NIRVANA’, the long awaited NIRVANA ‘Best Of’ compilation – has been brought forward in the UK.

‘Nirvana’ is a compilation of their biggest hits alongside the last recording singer Kurt made with drummer Dave Grohl and bassist Krist Novoselic before his suicide, ‘You Know You’re Right’. Accompanying it a music video will also be made, featuring previously unseen footage of the group.

The album was scheduled for a November 11 release in the UK. However, the date has been forward to October 28, according to an official label spokesperson. It is currently unclear why the album will come out earlier.

‘You Know You’re Right’, was sent out to selected members of the press this week, a reaction to it being leaked onto the Internet last month. Following the leak, radio stations played the song, and some were threatened with legal action.

NME.COM understands that the long-awaited comprehensive Box Set from Nirvana will follow in 2004, with a rarities album also in the pipeline.
