NIRVANA FILM SLAMMED

'A Leonard Cohen Afterworld' raises the hackles of Dave and Krist

Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic have mauled movie makers over a new film ‘A Leonard Cohen Afterworld’. The film, whose title is inspired by a lyric from Nirvana‘s Pennyroyal Tea, recreates the candlelit memorial in Seattle shortly after Cobain‘s death on 8 April where Courtney Love read extracts from Cobain‘s suicide note.

The filmmakers even restaged the vigil in the same location (the Seattle Center) inviting people from the area to participate by dressing in Grunge clothing and bringing flowers and cards.

According to US website [url=]sonicnet, Dave Grohl slammed filmmakers saying he was worried that fans wouldn’t be aware that the ex-Nirvana musicians were not supporters of the film.

Novoselic said, “It’s the same old story, people trying to exploit everything Nirvana stood for – and continues to stand for – just to turn a buck.”
