Jawbox man requests donations to help son

The boy has a life-threatening genetic condition

Friends and family of J Robbins, lead singer/guitarist of the critically acclaimed post-punk band Jawbox, have set up a website to accept donations for his 10-month-old son Callum’s medical treatments.

Robbins and his wife recently discovered that their only child has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a life-threatening genetic condition.

Robbins left Jawbox in 1997, later formed the band Burning Airlines, and now works as a self-employed indie recording engineer. He has requested financial assistance to help pay for his son’s medical treatments.
