Skins Radio continues plus Dead Kids, Filthy Dukes and more

Along with the regular set of DJs and music, NME Radio has a whole host of treats for you this week. Listen in for the following:


Skins Radio is back for a second week to mark the return of the Channel 4 series, with DJs James Theaker and Daniel Kaluuya taking the reins from 7pm (GMT). ‘Skins’ cast member Luke Pasqualino (who plays Freddy in the third series) is the special guest plus Mr Beasley are playing a live session. There’s also a chance to win tickets to the special Skins Radio party.

Today also sees the launch of a new feature, Download Of The Day on Iain Baker‘s show from 3pm. Iain is trawling the internet for the best downloadable nuggets, and listeners can email in for the link to the free track. NME‘s Jaimie Hodgson joins him at 4pm for three of the latest Radar bands too.


Skins Radio party headliners Filthy Dukes are in for a chat and a live session from 7pm while Ollie Barbieri (JJ in ‘Skins’) is the special guest.


Neil Cole talks to New York author Amanda Petrusich about her new book ‘It Still Moves: Lost Songs, Lost Highways And The Search For The Next American Music’ from 12 noon, and has copies of the book to give away.

Skins Radio from 7pm has Klariza Clayton (Karen in ‘Skins’) in the studio.

At 10pm, Chris Martin is speaking to White Lies about their debut album.


Today’s guests on Skins Radio from 7pm are Merveille Lukeba (Thomas on ‘Skins’) and Lisa Blackwell (Pandora) while Dead Kids provide the live music. The show starts tonight at 10.30pm on E4.


On the last instalment of Skins Radio the DJs are playing out the best moments from all the sessions, including tracks from Dead Kids, Mr Beasley and Filthy Dukes.
