The Who’s Roger Daltrey reveals plans for upcoming tours

Full length Quadrophenia or Tommy in the works

Roger Daltrey has revealed details about both his upcoming North American solo tour and also The Who‘s plans for next year.

Talking to Rolling Stone magazine, the singer promised “Different versions of Who songs” as well as an acoustic reworking of ‘Who Are You’.

He added: “The show has to be a journey, an enjoyable journey, or it could be a bumpy ride!”

On next year’s shows with The Who, Daltrey also said how he and guitarist Pete Townshend are considering playing Tommy or Quadrophenia in full.

“I’d like to do a stripped-down show — no staging, no big production, just play the bloody music.”

Referring to singing songs from their rock operas, he said: “These are the last years of my life that I can sing that material.”
