McDonalds drops rapper

After they object to his lyrics

McDonalds has dropped rapper Twista from a concert tour due to the fact they objected to his controversial lyrics.

He was due to perform at a concert in Chicago next month.

However, the fast food giant said it would not “perpetuate derogatory language.”

Twista said he did not expect the announcement, saying after “hearing from certain people in McDonald’s that they were fans of the music and backed me.

“I was actually going to have a school with a choir come sing the song ’Hope’ with me. So now McDonald’s have to tell the kids that they can’t perform.”

However spokesperson for the company William Whitman said: “We want to ensure these free concerts are fun as well as appropriate for all our customers.”

The tour also features Ne-Yo and Kat Deluna, reports BBC News.
