Shura will play a secret London gig later in June

The free show is part of the Sofar Sounds x Kopparberg Fruit Lager Live Series

Shura has revealed that she will play a secret London gig on Tuesday June 21, which will be free for competition winners to attend, just days before her scheduled Glastonbury appearance.

The Manchester native’s show is the London launch event for the Sofar Sounds x Kopparberg Fruit Lager Live Series, which features a number of gigs with multiple artists with shows in London, Leeds and Glasgow. You can apply for tickets to Shura’s gig here.

For the date, the upcoming songwriter will preview her forthcoming album, ‘Nothing’s Real’, which is due to be released on June 21. The secret location will be revealed to competition winners 24 hours before the show.

In December, Shura revealed that she gave up playing for Manchester City women’s team to pursue a music career, after being listed in the BBC Sound Of 2015 poll earlier this year, alongside breakthrough acts such as James Bay and Years & Years. That news came after Mumford & Sons took to Radio 1’s Live Lounge in April last year to cover her synth-pop track ‘2Shy’.
