Goth on a leash gets kicked off British bus

Man who led his girlfriend with lead denied entry to another bus too

A goth couple were kicked off a bus in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, because the man in the couple was leading his girlfriend around with a metal dog leash chain.

The couple say they were kicked off a bus run by bus firm Arriva, and prevented from boarding another, reports BBC News.

Dani Graves, 25, and fiancée Tasha Maltby, 19, claim they were discriminated against by the bus firm.

Arriva said they were investigating the complaint, but claimed that other passengers could have been put at risk by the chain if the bus had to brake suddenly.

“Our primary concern is passenger safety,” said Paul Adcock, operations director of Arriva. “While the couple are very welcome to travel on our buses, we are asking that Miss Maltby remove her dog lead before boarding.”

Arriva said they were writing to Mr Graves to apologise for any distress caused.
