‘Game of Thrones’ star Emilia Clarke wants to be the first female Bond

The name’s Bond. Jane Bond.

Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke has revealed that she wants to play the first female James Bond, and says she would choose Leonardo DiCaprio to be the first ‘Bond boy’.

Earlier this week X Files star Gillian Anderson hit headlines when she said she could replace Daniel Craig as the first female 007. But now Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in hit HBO Show Game of Thrones, has also staked a claim on the role.

Speaking in an interview with The Daily Star, she said, “I have a lot of unrealised dreams. I would love to play Jane Bond. My ultimate leading man would be Leonardo DiCaprio. No doubt about it.”

Clarke appeared on US TV on Tuesday night (May 24) when she attempted to explain Game Of Thrones‘ fictional language of Dothraki by reciting the lyrics to Hanson’s 1997 hit ‘MMMBop’. That was shortly after last week’s episode of the show was voted the third best so far by fans, with a 9.8 user rating on the IMDB website.

Earlier this month she told US TV’s Live! With Kelly that she regretted watching a recent episode of the show that featured a nude scene of hers in the company of her parents. That was shortly after she revealed in April that she would like Game of Thrones to feature more male nudity.
