Hot Chip named track of the year

‘Over And Over’ tops NME’s 2006 poll

Hot Chip‘s ‘Over And Over’ has been named NME Track of 2006 in our annual poll.

The band came first in the top 50 which was voted for by NME staff.

Accepting the accolade, the band’s Alexis Taylor admitted he was chuffed Hot Chip’s efforts had been recognised.


“I’m really proud, it’s a very nice thing to happen after a year of working on this record, promoting it and playing it,” he told NME.COM. “The single seemed to have a strange life of its own where people kept returing to it, playing it in clubs and around the world even!”
