Country star GLEN CAMPBELL has been sentenced to 10 days in jail for extreme drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

The 68 year-old country star will be able to leave the jail for 12 hours each day to work after a plea deal was reached at the Maricopa County Superior Court yesterday (June 15).

Reuters reports that the singer has also been given two years probation and 75 hours of community service.

Campbell had previously pleaded guilty to two charges which came after a collision hear his home in Phoenix in November last year.

Police registered a .20 blood-alcohol level, well above the legal limit in the state.
