The teenage sensation hits the road to promote her White Stripes-covering debut single...

JOSS STONE has announced details of her first UK headline tour, which is set to kick off at the end of January at the BIRMINGHAM ACADEMY.

The 16-year-old soul singer from Devon will precede the dates with the release of her debut single ‘Fell In Love With A Boy’ on January 26. Produced by Roots and featuring Angie Stone, the track is a reworking of White Stripes’ ‘Fell In Love With A Girl’.

The track will be the first track to be lifted from her debut album, ‘The Soul Sessions’, which sees the young singer cover a variety of classic and lesser-known soul standards.

Tracks included on the album include versions of Aretha Franklin‘s ‘All The Kings Horses’ and The Isleys’ ‘For The Love Of You’.

According to soundgenerator.com, Stone will be following up her recent support slots with Erykah Badu as well as her own solo showcase at London’s Ronnie Scott’s.

Tickets are priced at £10 (£12.50 in London).

Joss Stone will play:

Birmingham Academy 2 (January 31)

Manchester University (February 3)

London Scala (4)

Bristol Fleece & Firkin (5)
