Maybe we're talking about a future headliner...

Upcoming LEEDS band 10,000 THINGS have won a prestigious slot at this weekend’s V FESTIVAL.

The five-piece have been revealed as the winners of ‘Virgin Mobile Louder Road To V’ competition. The contest involved a showcase last month at the London Islington Carling Academy, which were shown on T4 Holiday Morning Shows in July and August. The winners were selected by viewers and industry experts.

The band beat off stiff competition from The Brand, Iain Archer, Victor Molloy, Taz, The Infadels, Jokers Wild and Shystie.

They will now open the V Festival in Hylands Park, Chelmsford on Saturday (August 21) and Weston Park, Staffordshire on Sunday (22).

The festival debut precedes a AA-side single, ‘Titanium’/’Can’t Do Nothing’ on September 27, ahead of their debut album on October 11. The band are already signed, to Snow Patrol’s label Fiction.
