THE DARKNESS are inviting the public to take part in the video shoot for their forthcoming single, ‘GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY WOMAN’.
Filming takes place at the Mean Fiddler, Charing Cross Road, London on Saturday (January 19), between 4pm and 10pm, with singer Justin Hawkins DJing to fill the gaps between filming, to keep the extras amused.
The band’s website warns wannabe children of The Darkness: “Remember kids! You gotta dress good if you wanna be the envy of yr borstal wing! The lovelier you look when you’re rockin’ out, the more chance you got of appearing on the telly in your favourite rock-based combo’s video.”
To take part, email videoshoot@thedarknessrock.co.uk, and a password will be emailed back, allowing access to the venue.
The single is released on February 24, through Must Destroy Music, and coincides with support dates opening for Def Leppard on their UK tour. A headline tour will follow, before the band make an appearance at the South By Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas.
