Rapper 50 CENT has appeared in court following his recent arrest on alleged gun charges.
The star, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was arrested early on Tuesday morning (December 31) when New York police allegedly found two loaded guns in a car. Along with the guns, a police spokesperson said that they also recovered four bulletproof vests.
Though police initially arrested all five occupants of the vehicle, prosecutors declined to charge the hired driver of the vehicle, Eliezer Cortes. Instead, Jackson and the other three members of his entourage were each charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and unlawful wearing of a body vest.
50 Cent appeared at a preliminary hearing yesterday (January 3), although didn’t speak or enter a plea, MTV news reports.
The case will come back to court on March 25.
