AUDIO BULLYS unleash their debut album ‘EGO WAR’ in May.
The much-anticipated LP – which features top twenty hit ‘We Don’t Care’ – is released on May 26 through Source Records.
The west London duo’s aggressive brand of garage-influenced pop has already enjoyed heavy radio support. Speaking about the diverse influences on the record, songwriter Simon Franks claimed not to be bothered by when music was released: “I’ve always been different to my mates in that they don’t really listen to old music,” he insisted.
“We write songs about everyday life,” he continued. “Try to tell a little story about what you see around you.”
One track, ‘Real Life’, is described as sharing the “same breathless explosion of pop energy (as) ‘Wrote For Luck’ by Happy Mondays or Specials‘
‘Too Much Too Young’.”
The band’s next UK date is at The Masque in Liverpool this Thursday (April 5).
