Howard Donald tells NME.COM he's into "uplifting house and vocal house"...

Ex-TAKE THAT star HOWARD DONALD tells NME.COM that his DJing career is going from strength to strength after a frenzy of ligging and networking at the MIAMI WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE.

When we bumped into the star last week – unexpectedly, at a party in house legend Todd Terry’s villa – he told us: “I’m out for the conference as a DJ. I’ve been here since Thursday, been to conference, trying to scab lots of white labels. I’m on business, trying to swap cards, stuff like that, make a lot of contacts. I’m having fun as well.”

Though he didn’t mention his songwriting career, which saw credits on tracks by acts as diverse as Kavana and Adam Rickitt, the star told us that he’s into “uplifting house and vocal house. I love it, it’s what I DJ. I’ve been DJing for about 12 years and I’ve been DJing a year on the club circuit, playing under Howard Donald. But I’m going under HD now, just the initials. Hopefully

things’ll get good in Europe and stuff.”
