THIS WEEK’S NUMBER 1

Figures confirm what we've always suspected - we are the UK's most popular music site...

nme.com is the UK’s biggest music web site. In the week that the ABC figures for print titles was released, nme.com has recorded a staggering online ABC of 8,324,529 page impressions per month. That’s 534,063 of you out there reading and coming back to the biggest and best music site every month (Sorry, I know this all sounds a bit pukey and corporate, but it’s not often we get to crow our asses off like this).

nme.com‘s number one UK status is confirmed by its top placing of UK music sites in Netscape‘s guide to the web.

The figures come in the first year of editor Anthony Thornton‘s tenure on the site which has seen a massively improved and more interactive site with a news, reviews and features service second to absolutely none.

Our web chat with Bernard Butler on Monday scored a staggering 360,000 page impressions alone; future chats include Arab Strap (tomorrow at 2pm BST) and Chuck D and Professor Griff from Public Enemy (August 26, time tbc).
