BRIGHTON 99, the festival planned to take place in Stanmer Park on July 31 and August 1 had been cancelled.
The organisers were unable to obtain a licence for the event which would have had appearances by Run-DMC, Red Snapper and Pitchshifter.
Refunds for tickets are available from point of sale.
