SPICE GIRL Victoria Beckham and her husband DAVID‘s minder has been arrested after a death threat letter was received by the couple.
Mark Niblett, 35, was the couple’s personal bodyguard and, according to a report in UK tabloid The Mirror today (June 28), was a close confidante of the couple. He recently left their employment amid allegations that he planned to sell his story in a tell-all book.
The threatening letter, which arrived at their Cheshire home, contained a photo of Posh Spice with a bullet drawn on it, aimed at her head, and blood pouring from a head-wound, with the words, “You are going to get what’s coming to you.”
Niblett went voluntarily to a police station in Warrington on Friday (June 23), and was arrested and interviewed in connection with allegations of sending threatening letters.
He was released on bail and a court date has been fixed for August.
Meanwhile Scary Spice Melanie B‘s new single, ‘Tell Me’, is reported to be a swipe at her ex-husband, dancer Jimmy Gulzar, who she split from in December 1999. According to The Sun newspaper, the line “…all you loved was Mel B‘s money” is specifically aimed at Gulzar.
The single is released in September, shortly before her debut solo album.
