‘WE SOLD OUR SOULS FOR ROCK’N’ROLL’, the documentary filmed at OZZFEST ’99, is to get its world premiere at the SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL.
The film is produced by Ozzy Osbourne’s wife Sharon, and follows the tour as it visits 30 different US cities. The film features performance footage from Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, Slayer and Godsmack, as well as backstage footage involving the artists and the crowd.
According to the official Sundance festival website [url=]www.sundance.org, the film’s most fascinating aspect is “seeing Ozzy not so much as a rock God, but rather as an adoring husband and father who drinks special herbal concoctions and gets massages between sets”.
The film was directed by Penelope Spheeris, whose other credits include spoof teenage comedy ‘Wayne’s World’.
This year’s Sundance Film Festival starts on January 18 and runs for ten days in Utah.
