WANTED: WEBSITE DEVELOPER

nme.com are looking for a website developer. Are you the one?

With all the latest news, views and reviews on everyone from Suede to Mogwai to Basement Jaxx, nme.com is the UK’s most popular music website. Couple this with the success of our Uploaded website and at IPC magazines (we’re the people who publish both of them and hundreds more besides) we’ve the makings of one of the most impressive site portfolios to hit the web. Which is why we’re looking for a website developer to make our Music and Sport sites the pride of the online community.

As well as knowing the difference between Gay Dad and Puff Daddy, you’ll need to combine creativity, flair and the ability to work to tight, tight deadlines with excellent technical skills: Perl5 including OO techniques, UNIX, Shell Scripting, CGI programming, TCP/IP protocols, HTML coding using text editor. Netscape, RealMedia Server configuration, Javascript and such like would be great as well.

Working as the self-motivated Technical Guru on the sites, and working hand in hand with the editorial team, you’ll need to combine our laid back, social, relaxed and fun loving approach with the flexibility to ditch all of that when the deadline’s on you and you just have to get the job done. It is essential that you bring a focused business perspective to the role.

In return, you’ll create the look and feel for household name websites, and will benefit from matchless career prospects that IPC offer. The benefits package isn’t half bad either.
