Details confirmed of man held in connection with singer's death in Mexico...

A Mexican man has been released on bail in connection with the death of singer/songwriter KIRSTY MacCOLL earlier this week.

The BBC reports that Jose Cenyam, driver of a speedboat in waters off the coast of the island of Cozumel in Mexico, was detained and later released on bail. The case is being treated as negligent homicide, and an investigation is to be held, the attorney general?s office confirmed.

As NME.COM revealed, Kirsty, 41, died after being hit by a speedboat on Tuesdsay (December 19) while swimming in the waters around the island when she was on holiday with her two sons.
