The bi-monthly delivery of the hottest new live bands goes nationwide in May...
NME is heading ‘On’ the road with a series of gigs around the UK, delivering the hottest new live bands to your doorsteps.
Already a hit in London, where our bi-monthly On Night gigs have become the stuff of legend, we will be venturing out of the capital for the first time in May.
The first date will be Leicester‘s Princess Charlotte, where punk-pop chart-botherers The Dum Dums, Brum cheekbone rockers King Adora and foot-on-the-monitor she-devils Twist will be showing how it’s done on May 17.
Watch this space for news on gigs in Glasgow, Liverpool and beyond, as we boldly march forth spreading the word…
But just because we’re packing our bags and hitting the road, that doesn’t mean the fun stops in the capital.
The London gigs this month will move to a new venue – The Monarch, at 49 Chalk Farm Road, Camden, NW1, just up the road from their former home at The Falcon.
The next On Night in London will be on May 11, where you can see the US pastoral psychedelic combo Home, perky pop people Derrero and the distinguished eclectics of I Am Kloot. After that, May 17 is the next hot date for your diaries, when Nu-Manc folk fellas Alfie, recent On stars Tompaulin and Nu-Manc pop moodists Elbow will be showing us how it’s done.
