ALL TOMORROWS PARTIES has just opened its doors and nme.com will be here all weekend to bring you news, reviews and onsite shennanigans as they happen.
Sonic Youth, Super Furry Animals, Godspeed You Black Emperor! and Steve Albini’s Shellac are amongst the more than thirty bands that curators Mogwai have brought together for this second annual event. And already things are shaping up to be bigger and better than the Belle And Sebastian hosted festival of last year.
There have been no repeat of the queues that kept several thousand frustrated concert goers waiting hours outside the gates. Such was the congestion last year that Belle And Sebastian’s Stuart Murdoch appeared by the gates to pacify the disgruntled with a brief acoustic set featuring a cover of Rod Stewart’s ‘Maggie May’.
The weather has brightened up too. The sun has drenched the south coast holiday camp lending an air of… a holiday camp and members of Super Furry Animals have already been spotted wandering by the chalets with more stars arriving by the minute.
Regular updates will appear from here at Camber Sands, the first major festival of the season.
