Orellana was shot twice, once in the jaw and again in his arm and alsosuffered wounding to the head. His friend, James Malloy, was also shot in his right leg. Both are in a reportedly stable condition at Harlem Hospital, according to EDM Daily.
A spokesperson has now (11.30pm GMT, 26 February) reported to Billboard that:
“Last night, AraabMUZIK was shot in Harlem and the incident is currently under investigation by the NYPD. He is out of surgery and expected to make a full recovery. Out of respect for his privacy and legal issues around this matter, no further comments will be made at this time.”

A spokesperson for the producer later spoke to Billboard, confirming that his client was “the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time”. “Rumors have begun to circulate and first and foremost, we want to let everyone know that AraabMUZIK is currently alive and well,” AraabMUZIK’s spokesperson said. “He was out in his neighborhood last night with friends and unfortunately the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is recovering now and police are investigating the crime. We appreciate all the concern and fan support and Araab is looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the stage as soon as he can.”

They tried to rob him and he ain’t come up off his shit so they tried get him outta there! He meant to be here! Foh!”
