Dave Grohl reunites with ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ video child star after 23 years

Kelsey Rohr hails "historic moment"

Dave Grohl reunited with the child star of Nirvana‘s ‘Heart Shaped Box’ video this week.

Kelsey Rohr was six years old when the video to Nirvana’s ‘In Utero’ single was recorded in 1993. The toddler donned a Ku Klux Klan robe for the video and starred alongside Grohl, Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic.

Now aged 29, Rohr posted a picture of herself alongside Grohl after reuniting with him in what the Foo Fighters frontman described as a “historic moment.”

“Today Dave Grohl and I picked up right where we left off 23 years ago on set of Nirvana’s last music video ‘Heart-Shaped Box’” Rohr wrote as the caption on her February 10 picture. “Today reminded me that I peaked at 6 years old BUT I was the most badass kid on the playground. Today was the absolute coolest. Or in Dave’s words seeing each other today was a “historic moment”! What a legend!!”

Meanwhile, Grohl’s former bandmate Krist Novoselic spent time with another twenty-something Nirvana fan in the shape of Justin Bieber this week.

Courtney Love uploaded a picture to Instagram of Bieber speaking to her and Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic at New York Fashion Week evet, while Sonic Youth‘s Kim Gordon looks on. She captioned the picture by describing Bieber as “such a gentleman”.

Courtney Love had previously defended Justin Bieber after he was photographed wearing a Nirvana t-shirt, saying that he was “cool in my book”.
