Panic! At The Disco score their first Number One album in the US

Las Vegas band knock Adele off her perch with ‘Death Of A Bachelor’

Panic! At The Disco have scored their first ever Number One album in the US with their new LP ‘Death Of A Bachelor’.

The Las Vegas rockers’ fifth studio effort sold the equivalent of 190,000 units in the States beating Adele‘s ’25’ to the top spot. It also reached Number Four in the UK Official Album Charts.

The LP surpasses the band’s previous Number Two charting in the US Billboard Chart, with ‘Pretty.Odd’, which sold 139,000 copies in its first week in March 2008.

The band recently revealed new song ‘Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time’ ahead of the release of their album.

They will return to the UK in May to headline Slam Dunk Festival 2016.

The touring festival will visit Leeds, Birmingham and Hatfield in May, with Panic! At The Disco joined on the bill by Of Mice & Men and New Found Glory.

The Birmingham date of the festival has moved to the NEC with the Genting Arena, indoor Pavilions and outdoor stages all set to be used for live performances. Slam Dunk’s northern leg will take place at various venues in Leeds city centre while the University of Hertfordshire will host the southern leg.

The Slam Dunk 2016 line up is bolstered by the announcement of Four Year Strong, Every Time I Die, Issues, Memphis May Fire and Real Friends, with more than 40 other acts still to be confirmed.
