Future releases new mixtape ‘Purple Reign’

The Atlanta rapper drops his first release of 2016

Future has released a new mixtape, ‘Purple Reign’, featuring production from Metro Boomin, Southside, Zaytoven and more.

The Atlanta rapper’s latest mixtape follows on from his critically acclaimed album ‘DS2’ which topped the charts in the US following its release on July 17 last year.

Future released three mixtapes in 2015: ’Beast Mode’ in January, ’56 Nights’ in March and ‘What a Time to Be Alive’ in September. The latter, a collaboration between himself and Drake, also topped the charts in the US and reached the top 10 in the UK.

Earlier this month, the ‘Jumpman’ rapper “>posted a number of tweets allegedly aimed at his former partner R&B star Ciara, with whom he has a child.

“I been silent for a year & a half…I ran outta patience,” he tweeted, adding “I just want babyfuture that’s all.”

He continued in another tweet: “I gotta go through lawyers to see babyfuture…the f***ery for 15k a month.”

In November, the rapper whose real name is Nayvadius Wilburn released an intimate music video for his single ‘Rich $ex’ which stars himself and model Blac Chyna.

Last week, Future performed at Brixton’s O2 Academy, the rapper is also planning to tour the US in February in support of ‘Purple Reign’.
