The rapper plays intimate shows in twelve US cities throughout October and November
Kendrick Lamar has extended his ‘Kuntas Groove Sessions’ tour.
The rapper announced the tour on Instagram at the start of the month alongside a caption that read “8 cities. 8 nights, 8 intimate shows.”
As reported by Pitchfork, Lamar has now amended the dates and will play 12 shows in total throughout October and November, each taking place in a different US city. On seven of the dates he will be supported by his backing band the Wesley Theory and his Top Dawg Entertainment label mate Jay Rock.
Kendrick Lamar released his third album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ in March. It followed 2012’s ‘Good Kid, MAAD City.’
Last month the rapper appeared on US TV to perform a medley of hits from the album. Lamar was a guest on the second episode of Stephen Colbert’s Late Show and played a short set featuring album tracks ‘Wesley’s Theory’, ‘Momma’, ‘King Kunta’, and ‘u’. Watch the performance here.
