Pinkshinyultrablast premiere ‘Kiddy Pool Dreams’ – watch

The Russian act kick off an extensive UK tour in late September

Russian quintet Pinkshinyultrablast have launched their new video, for the single ‘Kiddy Pool Dreams’, which comes out on October 2 on Club AC30.

The band take their name from an Astrobrite album, an act who were, according to the band, instrumental in how they “researched spaces between ambient, heavy guitar and pop music”

The video features strangers listening to the band for the first time through headphones and giving feedback on the track. Their comments are layered over the top of the track itself, with quotes like “it reminds me a bit of angels singing,” and “I’m not sure why it’s so long, who makes tracks that long these days?”

The band’s debut album ‘Everything Else Matters’ came out in January, but the single is a new release that doesn’t feature on the album.

Alongside the video, the band posted an explanation “concept stolen from Cake (definitely not Bright Eyes)”.

NME premiered earlier single ‘Holy Forest’ exclusively in late 2014
