Stormzy freestyles new song ‘Shut Up’ – watch

Rising MC raps over grime classic 'Functions on the Low'

Stormzy has released a new video freestyle titled ‘Shut Up’.

The clip, which was shot by Jaiden Ramgeet in a South London car park, sees the rising MC rap over grime producer XTC’s instrumental ‘Functions On The Low’. Watch the video below.

Stormzy released debut single ‘Know Me From’ on March 8, following his cameo with Kanye West alongside Boy Better Know and Novelist at this year’s BRIT Awards.

Footage later surfaced reportedly showing the 21-year-old South Londoner rapping as an eight year-old child.

The footage, which you can see below, apparently shows Stormzy (real name Michael Omari) performing in front of the camera at home in 2002. The video was shot by Stormzy’s mum, who recently appeared in the video for his single ‘Know Me From’.

The video begins with present day Stormzy saying that he looks like a “flipping idiot” in the video. It then cuts back in time to him playing PlayStation and rapping about his school life for his mum. The eight-year old in the video says he gets in trouble from a female teacher for rapping at school but doesn’t care “because all girls smell”.

Watch the footage below, now.
