David Byrne and Alicia Keys to perform together at charity concert

The pair will team up live in New York later this month

David Byrne and Alicia Keys are set to collaborate live at an upcoming charity gig in New York.

The pair will perform together at the annual Black Ball fundraiser, a venture organised by Keys herself. Proceeds from the show will go to the Keep A Child Alive foundation.

“I’ve always been inspired by David Byrne and his ability to combine music and art,” Keys told Billboard. “[We] have been talking about his new music and what we’re going to perform and just the thought of it is amazing!”

Previous Black Ball events have featured performances from Jay Z, Bono, Sade and others. This year’s event will take place at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on October 30.

The team up follows on from the Talking Heads frontman’s recent collaborations with St Vincent and Anna Calvi.
