New brand launches at pop-up shop in Tokyo next week
Madonna is launching a skin care range, called MDNA Skin.
The brand features a facial serum, skin rejuvenator and a clay mask. It first goes on sale at a pop-up shop in Tokyo next week, before it’s launched worldwide on February 23.
MDNA Skin brand ambassador, skin care artist Michelle Peck, says: “The brand’s goal is to challenge women and their awareness about the art of beauty and skin care.”
The launch comes days after Madonna led a gym class to launch the Toronto franchise of her gym chain Hard Candy Fitness. After picking 30 members of the gym, Madonna led them in her own dance workout routine, ‘Addicted To Sweat.’
It was Madonna’s first visit to Toronto since she was supposedly banned from the city in 1990, after defying police orders not to simulate sex during her ‘Blonde Ambition’ tour.
Referring to the incident, which was captured in tour documentary In Bed With Madonna, she told the gym class on Tuesday (February 11): “Didn’t they try to arrest me here? I’m not going to be simulating masturbation tonight, so I guess it’s cool. Toronto has finally learned to accept me.”
