Interpol to preview new album on NME Awards Tour 2014 with Austin, Texas

Guitarist Daniel Kessler reveals band will perform fresh material during February tour

Interpol‘s Daniel Kessler has promised the band will play new material from their upcoming album when they headline the NME Awards Tour 2014 with Austin, Texas.

The New York trio will top a bill that also includes Temples, Royal Blood and Circa Waves. The tour takes place from March 18-27 with tickets on sale from 9am on January 24. Tickets include a 50p donation to Teenage Cancer Trust.

Speaking in this week’s NME, which is on newsstands or available digitally now, Kessler says he is excited to hit the road once again. “It’s going to be a really nice way for us to get back out there again. We haven’t played shows for a couple of years now and this felt right. It’s cool to come back on the road on the eve of a new record.”
