The singer gave the track its debut airing at Montreux Jazz Festival
Lana Del Rey has performed ‘Salvatore’ for the first time ever during a performance at Montreux Jazz Festival.
The track, which is featured on Lana Del Rey’s 2015 album ‘Honeymoon’, was given its debut airing after the singer opened the show up to requests from the crowd.
In the clip of the performance, which can be watched below, a fan is heard to shout “Honeymoon!”, at the singer.
“Really? That one? We’ve never even done that one”, Del Rey replies.
She is then seen to duly oblige with the request, and performs an a cappella section of the song, before launching into “High on the Beach.”
Earlier this month, the video for ‘Honeymoon’ leaked online after Del Rey had announced that she had no plans to release it.
The singer had previously teased the release of the video last year, but eventually decided against its eventual release, claiming that she “Never put it out because nothing really happened in it.”
Del Rey’s performance came at Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, which is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary. Other names on this year’s line up include Muse, Kurt Vile, Mac DeMarco and Grimes.
