NME celebrates its 60th anniversary with free ‘Behind NME Lines’ photography exhibition

The exhibition will feature the magazine's most iconic front covers and runs from September 19 to October 6

NME is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, and, as part of the celebrations, we’re hosting a special exhibition to showcase the most iconic covers from the magazine’s lifetime.

Taking place at NEO Bankside in London, ‘Behind NME Lines’, will run from September 19 to October 6. It will be open from Wednesday to Sunday and from 12pm to 7pm on each week. Entry is free.

‘Behind NME Lines’ will feature covers from across the magazine’s history and includes classicimages of bands such as the Sex Pistols, Blur, Oasis, The Beatles and The Smiths.

The exhibition is taking place as part of the MERGE festival, the annual arts, music and performance festival that draws on therich heritage and contemporary culture of Bankside.

The MERGE festival will host a series of free gigs, with the likes of Ruby & The Ribcage, The Magic Lantern, Dominic Hammond and Hoodlums all set to perform. To find out more details about the exhibition, visit Mergefestival.co.uk/artists/behind-nme-lines.
