Band post interactive cassette tape of festival show
Foo Fighters are streaming their set from the 1995 Reading Festival online.
The show, which was one the band’s earliest live shows and their debut at the UK festival, has been made available in the form of an interactive cassette tape at Reading.foofighters.com.
The Foo Fighters’ appearance at the festival took place only one month after the release of their eponymous debut album in July 1995. The band had played their first ever show in California, America in February of the same year.
In December last year, Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl confirmed that the band would be heading into the studio to record a new album this year. The band released their seventh studio album, ‘Wasting Light’, in April 2011.
Meanwhile, Reading And Leeds Festivals‘ organiser Melvin Benn announced plans yesterday (March 9) to give every fan with a weekend ticket a free beer and burger at this year’s event. He told NME that he wants to introduce the giveaway for the three day bash on August 24 – 26 because he was unable to reduce ticket prices this year.
The line-up for this year’s Reading And Leeds Festivals will be announced live at 7.15pm (BST) on NME.COM on Monday night (March 12).
