Axl Rose’s manager has attacked AC/DC fans who have said he shouldn’t be singing with the band.
Rose has been singing with AC/DC since May, after their singer Brian Johnson was forced to quit the band due to hearing problems.
Rose has been criticised by some fans as suitable, while others have questioned his commitment because of his involvement in the reunited Guns N’ Roses tour.
But Rose’s manager Beta Lebeis has hit back at the criticism, pointing out that Johnson has been too unwell to carry on and that his bandmates asked Rose to be involved.
Lebeis said: “Do the band a favour – don’t come or watch any shows. They don’t need assholes like you around. You’re an illness to both bands. I’m sure all of you wish Brian would be there, but Brian is sick. For God’s sake, appreciate what’s up there and stop being so selfish. Grow up and stop complaining. This is also about Angus and his mates, so have some respect for them. Brian chose to leave due to health issues, and Axl is helping his idol. I guess haters will always be haters, and have nothing better to do than shit on other people.”
Lebeis made her comments on Instagram, before deleting her posts.
AC/DC are touring in support of their 2014 album ‘Rock Or Bust’, with six dates left before finishing in Philadelphia on September 20.
Former drummer Phil Rudd, who has reportedly been invited to rejoin by guitarist Angus Young, said last week he wouldn’t go back to the band if Rose was singing.
