Drake reportedly filming ‘One Dance’ video in South Africa

The star has posted photos from Johannesburg over the past week

Drake appears to have shot the music video for his hit single ‘One Dance’ in South Africa.

The rapper has been posing for photos with several fans in Soweto over past week.

“Last night on a work shift I got to meet Drizzy Drake. Very humble being,” wrote one user on Instagram.

He also visited the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory in Johannesburg on Monday (June 27), stopping to meet with local students.

Yesterday, Drake dropped further clues that he is in South Africa to film his latest video by posting a picture of of Material Culture, a dance crew who compete in the izikhothane scene in Soweto on his Instagram.

UK singer Kyla, who is sampled on the single, might also be staring in the video. She recently posted a photo of herself on a South African airways flight.

‘One Dance’ also recently secured the longest reign at Number One in the UK single charts in nine years, after it spent a seventh straight week at number one.

An unreleased version of the track was recently aired at Red Bull Culture Clash by Mixpack, introduced by Drake-collaborator Popcaan.

Meanwhile, Drake’s ‘Views’ is in the running for this year’s Polaris Prize, the top Canadian album award.
