Oceansize split up

Manchester band call it quits after 12 years together

Oceansize have announced they have split up.

The Manchester band, who formed in 1998 and released four studio albums, have not given their reasons for the split.

Posting on their official Facebook page, Facebook.com/oceansizeuk, they explained that the band members would be pursuing other musical projects.

“We regret to inform you that Oceansize has split up,” they wrote. “An explanation for this occurrence is neither forthcoming or indeed necessary. All that remains is to say thank you for being there for us. It’s been a very eventful and life-affirming 12 years. We’ll miss you. There will be more music from each of us as soon as possible.”

Oceansize released their last album, ‘Self Preserved While The Bodies Float Up’, last year. Each ex-member of the band has posted links to their new musical projects’ pages at Facebook.com/oceansizeuk.
